How to Shop at Groceries in the Time of the Pandemic

This pandemic brought major changes to our lives. No longer can we freely go out and interact with other people. Shopping is done sparingly. Many people just get their supplies online. But if you are one of those who still want to shop at grocery stores in Vancouver, here are the things that you can do to keep your safety and sanity:

1.      Shop early or late in the afternoon

Grocery stores in Vancouver are cleaner early in the morning, especially when they just opened since there aren’t a lot of people who are there yet. Also, there are usually fewer people shopping during this time. The same is true if you choose to shop late in the afternoon or almost closing. If you want to avoid bumping into other souls when going out for a grocery run, opt for these hours.

2.      Sanitize, sanitize, sanitize

Sanitize your cart with a spray alcohol solution. Wipe it with a disinfectant wipe. After you touch things, sanitize your hands to reduce your infection risks.

3.      Wear protective gear

A mask is indispensable these days. Always wear your mask. You can also wear safety goggles or you can use a cap and put a protective acetate around the rim of the mask to protect your eyes from droplets.

Put a safe distance between you and other people when shopping. Stores like Famous Foods have policies when it comes to social distancing. Make sure you also sanitize the things you bought immediately after arriving home.
